The Nexus Pathfinder is a brand new additon to our metal detector range. The two box metal detector redefines the terms depth and discrimination completely. The mechanical construction of the new Nexus Pathfinder is made out of over 300 individual components forming a complex frame designed to achieve extreme mechanical stability and very low weight at the same time. The weight of the frame and coils of Nexus Pathfinder is only 3 kg. The coils are 75 cm (30') in diameter and the total working length is 185 cm. More information regarding the development of this two box metal detector as well as detailed video tests will be published as soon as it becomes available.

Metal detecting introduction. Metal detecting is not only a very interesting and fun hobby for young and old, but could also be profitable, with some finds even bringing life changing rewards. You may fame and be apart of very important discoveries of history which will be on display for future generations. Treasure hunting throughout the years have not only reached treasures and artefacts deep underground, but also delved into the depths of the very distant past. For decades detectorists of all ages have been searching fields, woodland and the beach and for many years to come there will be amazing discoveries of how life in ancient times were. READ MORE…
Metal detector and treasure hunting myths and secrets Are you the proud owner of an all-singing, all-dancing ‘multi-frequency’, ‘digital’ metal detector sporting the very latest technology? If you believe this then you are perhaps sadly mistaken. What you actually have is an analogue, fixed frequency, induction balance metal detector – in essence, not much different from the units available 40 or so years ago. How can this be so you might ask? The original need for metal detecting equipment arose from a military requirement to find explosive landmines buried in the ground. Early hobbyists realised that such equipment could perhaps be used to recover historic artefacts and treasures. Military units however were originally intended to find quite large steel clad mines rather than small coins and READ MORE…
Choosing the right search coil for gold When searching for gold items or gold prospecting the choice of search coil is a key factor for success. For VLF induction balance detectors it is essential to select the correct frequency. Higher frequencies yield the most success. When it comes to aftermarket search coils for Pulse Induction metal detectors your choice will be based on the size of gold chunks you wish to find. Large gold nuggets are best detected by larger sized search coils. For small and dust-like pieces, a smaller search coil may provide increased chances. Nexus Aftermarket carbon fibre coils are specialized prospecting search loops which offers several advantages to greatly improve your success. With a switchable toggle which changes mode from Hot Ground to Maximum Depth READ MORE…
